WWII Army (I think) PATCH. What does it tell me?

    There's more to it than that -- the shirt does appear to have a WWI (not WWII) high collar, and the big black block A is right for 1st (US) Army Division, but the sunrise/sunset motif in the lower half of the logo is something else. Looks to be embroidered on a different fabric than the shirt and the rest of the 1st Army patch. Oregon National Guard?

    The A could definitely be separate from the sun rise/set. We are in CA and it was from a local estate. Yes on the WWI. Maybe I should take a look at the sunrise/set patch separately? I was looking for a patch that included the A
