Yixing? teapot w/ cups & saucers - I need some help with the marks please.

I got these pieces recently & it wasn't until I was taking photos this afternoon that I noticed the marks on the teapot do not appear to match the cup marks or the saucer marks. They all look to be done in the same color clay & the design on the cups go well with the design on the teapot.

So do I have a set or is it a marriage of all of the pieces?

I dunno, but the decoration on the pot and cup look the same...

 

Wendy - I agree & that is why I was so surprised when I was taking the photos.
Hopefully khl will stop in here at some point to help me out.

Certainly marked Yixing, but for the others I need some books I won't have access to till next month.

 

You don't have to have the same marks to have a match. One artist may have more than one seal and signature. The other things is that even Chinese speaking people cannot read most of the seals.
Most of the sources with database that I have are Chinese websites.

 

I just bought a bitty teapot in Ill Will with mismatched marks. The pot and lid are a perfect fit. The marks, it seems, aren't always identical.
