Yixing Teapot?

I found this yixing teapot (?) at an auction, and took a gamble for $5. At least I think it's a yixing teapot? Also in my search I've seen it described as purple clay? Not sure of what I have here!! I've seen them on Ebay for anywhere from .99-hundreds of
