Featured 1 Euro Find

    For 1 euro at the consignment shop, I couldn't say no!

    Bit banged up, and someones cut out a lot of the pictures, but for 200 years old I don't mind. I like em used anyway. Looks to be a play? Interesting the publisher is underneath the binding. I'm assuming this is an 1802 book and this is the 1827 edition. Either way, this is now the oldest item I own, rivaling my c1820s brooch. I'm happy!

    Oh that is interesting! I did a google search of the book and it was published in 1783, so whats with the 1802 and the 1827 dates?

    I would guess subsequent editions, possibly from different publishers. Copyright then wasn't what it is today, and books did not contain the publishing history that is a common modern practice.
