Hi, Everyone I have a set of 12 Beatrix potter 18 carat Gold plated Teaspoons.
There was 4,500 made (num 84) from the Westminster Editions.
Beatrix potter - Frederink warne & co 2002.

It also comes in a wooden wall spoon holder.
    Complete with Cerificate of authenticity.
Printed signed by Stephen R. Allen (Chairman)
    Spoon printed Gold plated S.S.L

I've seen the silver plated versions of these spoons but not gold plated.
So I was wondering if anyone had any details or rough prices ?

    Bianca ^_^

There is one Peter Rabbit gold-plated spoon listed on eBoo right now with a BIN price of $22. (Doesn't mean it will actually sell for that amount, though.)
I love Miss Potter's artwork and thoroughly enjoyed visiting Hill Top when I visited England's Lake District in 2015.

I hate to say it, but one of true-isms of antiques is that collectibles are anything but. These will be worth their purchase price again about 30 years after you originally bought them. Maybe. These have about 15 years to go. Personally, I don't buy collectors' spoons unless I can melt them for silver. Disgusting, but true.

May have come out with all the other items celebrating the centenary of her works.

My experience with spoons tells me the display case is probably worth as much as the spoons to a spoonie.

Annie - Bianca has not been back since the day she made her post above. Unlikely you will get a reply. It's apparently impossible to "tag" her.

Most of these collections are only popular with fans of that particular genre. It's the same with plates and other series sets. They don't seem to have long-lasting value. Around here, thrift stores won't even accept them.
