I didn’t have time to go into the charity shop.
So of course I went into the charity shop.
It was a bit like supermarket sweep as I was in a hurry but well worth it!

Thought this heart bracelet was pot metal until I got it home but it’s hallmarked 925 and 18k BJC which I think is Samuel Benham.

Not tested these yet but hope they are gold.£2.50

It’s nicely made on the top although the silver soldering is a bit basic underneath.
What stone is in yours? Pics please! Only mark is a double struck 925.

You did well! I always feel like old tarnished silver needs to be rescued by someone who will polish it up.

 

It’s odd how some 925 sterling goes almost black and how some is bright and shiny. I have pieces kept in exactly the same conditions, some tarnish, others don’t

 

Nothing odd,pieces that don't tarnish are probably rhodium plated or argentium silver.

I have this really cool jewelry box called a Silver Safe Keeper that I bought from QVC, one of the home shopping networks. It's basically a silver chest with a specialized interior designed for jewelry. It keeps my silver jewelry very nicely, no tarnish. I've had it for years.
