Featured Chinese enamel bowl with mark

    Hello

    I bought this badly damaged enamel on copper/bronze bowl. I think this pattern would be called thousand flowers?

    Four character mark underneath. I looked through gotheborgs porcelain marks but couldn’t find a match.

    20cm diameter, 5cm height

    I don't know if yours is period or tribute mark...
    Thousand flowers pattern is far more "crowded" with flowers;), so can't be called that!
    Very elegant decor, I love it!

    Tribute mark imo. But I think certainly old, if not antique. Really beautiful, Ratsy.

    Not antique for sure; I'd be thinking Republic period maybe. Too bad about the big damage.

    That would be my first option. Which means it could possibly be antique, by
    about ten years.;)

    Final sale price was £3000. At that value can we assume its of the period?

    At that price point, with that damage, I'd let the buyer worry about how old it is!
