Featured Era on this possibly copper necklace, please

hi,

wondering about the age and origin on this. It appears to be copper and the the stones are marcasite and glass, onyx or the like approx 18” plus whatever the drop is

The clasp makes me feel it is older but...

Any help on this piece is very much appreciated

JMHO, I am thinking this is brass, just a warmer color.

 

I'd agree on brass with a nice patina.

 

I didn’t know brass could turn this color. Cool!! It’s almost like a dark rose gold.

P.S. My phone keeps changing gold to good. At first I kept thinking that my fat fingers were getting in the way and then the other day, I knew I spelled it correctly, so I watched and sure enough it corrects itself to good. WTH!?!? whew, at least I’m not as cray-cray as I started to believe I was.
