Featured Faux or Real Turquoise Ring ?

Hello,

I bought this ring today and (sadly, I really need glasses) at home I noticed that there is a crack in it.... the crack appears to be white/grayish in color (picture 2)... I thought that the turquoise looks legit, but if the crack is white, that means it is a dyed turquoise ? On the opposite side there are 2 other scratches, like the they tried to set the stone into the setting and the stone was too big.. does it look the same to you ? Thank you !

 

It looks legit from here. The white looks like an inclusion.

Looks like turquoise (very pretty shade, BTW) on matrix. Agree with evelyb30 that irregularities are natural to the stone.

 

I like the shade too, but it's too big of a ring for me.. thank you !

 

That is not matrix,it is JB WELD or a similar substance as a backing so the stone is technically a doublet.

 

I was referring to the white-ish stuff, not the brown cement goo.

i don't see turquoise ....i don't know all turquoise....but i'm not seeing it...

 

So it is not real turquoise, is it faux turquoise ? Like dyed howlite turquoise ?

 

No one can correctly identify it from the photo,just educated guesses.
