Featured Forbes Silverplate --what would this form be used for?

    (Baker's, if you wind up answering this, sorry to make you work on your birthday...) :)

    I've got the maker, and realize it is silverplate. Any idea what to call this form? Base is heavy--feels weighted, or for some extra function.

    I realize I didn't get a good photo of this, but the bowl like shape extends underneath. You can kind of see it in the first photo.

    I had one of those about 2 years ago or so, along with the matching candlesticks. It went out the door fast. With the sticks it sold for $65.00 in March 2017. But mine was marked Wm Rogers and it didn't have the gold wash on the inside of the bowl. Hope that helps some.
