cat 1.jpg cat 2.jpg cat 3.jpg Hi again everyone

I have come across this art deco looking ceramic cat and I dig the cubist style.
It is signed Nagel and am wondering who or what they are, there is also the same design which is sometimes signed Longwy.
Does anyone have any information about the maker and the approximate date?

    Thank you

I found plenty of cats, squirrels, elephants, and even a boar, all claiming to be French, but not an iota of info about Nagel.

It appears the same pieces of information get repeated over and over again on the internet about Nagel figurines.

Ah... Longwy is a place. And lots of similar pieces seem to be identified with that term.

cat 4.jpg cat 5.jpg The French do love their cubist cats with strange markers! Another cubist style cat found, doesnt say "made in" before France which could be an estimate of age?
    Marker of Meer

    Meer
    Nagel
    Longwy
    all seem very similar

The pieces floating around Google France are described as faïence craquelé.

Well, many pieces clearly marked NAGEL PARIS but dates often given as 1950s.

I've been to Longwy, which is a statement of little help.
