I assumed this was French - really well done. Does anyone recognize the woman? I keep thinking I should know her as a Saint? This covered box or jar is unmarked, heavy like stone - alabaster or marble? Approx. height 4.62 in., diameter 3.75 in. image0.jpeg image4.jpeg image3.jpeg image2.jpeg

There's a lot of that decorative alabasterware sold in Spain. Imported from Italy.

I've touched her foot. Given I'm not exactly religious, it was actually astonishingly spiritual. But then, Montserrat is like that.
