Hi all. Picked up this lovely today as I had been wanting a bar cart but decided this will do quite nicely ! I paid $60 for it,wich tells you how very swept away I was ! But I had to have it. Never mind I dont know where I'll put it. I think art deco but maybe into the 40s ? Its in great shape minus all the fittings (wich I searched for desperately) but neither nor,I'll have it stocked in no time. :) Any input is appreciated.
Ps....theres an automatic light that comes on when you open the cabinet but the wires were cut

Mmmmm I loved a good bourbon ! And vodka !and rum ! I thought it was maybe oak,so its walnut ? I thought maybe it was English since I saw a few like it located over there.

    Gorgeous cabinet, johnny.:)
It seems to be related to the "Waterfall Style" athough it is slightly different.

I have a Waterfall Style vanity that has similar door and drawer knobs. Mine is Belgian, which doesn't mean your cabinet is. It is probably just one of those things that was used at the time.

I think my newly found cocktail shaker would go just fine with your cabinet :D

I think 40s-50s is about right. Wood looks like mahogany with a toner applied to lighten it and make it more uniform. Not American, so could be English. Would not rule it out being Continental.

I have (?) a set of deco like cocktail glasses SOMEWHERE around here. I looked last night for a while, thinking "I really need to do a clean out again!".Im hoping they arent in the spare room closet, wich is packed with boxes. Right next to this cabinet was a pier table and matching mirror, gilt with a marble top, that I spooted before the bar.I flew over there but the tags were gone.I guessed French, probably 1920s,and they were FABULOUS .
