These photos are like 1% of his tools. He’s a user, not a collector.

He made furniture mostly then got more into metal art. He has a degree in art and architecture, and became an antiques dlr. Anvil is only thing he’s selling. Hope to get more pix as I get to know him, every square inch of his large workshop’s walls and ceiling is covered with collections of wonderful things or tools he used or uses. One whole wall is old brass kerosene lamps, complete or major parts.

I’m going back there soon to do a final inspection of the anvil and most likely buy it. I’ll take some weight handling equipment to use on the 350 lb. anvil, I don’t throw things like that around like I did when I was younger. I learned the hard way that the human body wasn’t designed to be a crane.

Yeah well. It's this getting old stuff. When you're young and dumb you sling things around. Us older types have to get crafty. I used to hump 50-pound bags of bird seed from the trunk of my car into my basement. That was four surgeries and two autoimmune diseases ago. These days just walking can get interesting and I have a 10-pound weight limit (holes and surgical mesh where some gut muscle is supposed to be). Fork lifts and hand trucks are Good Things.
