You don't have to worry about the poll, kira. It is useless in any type of thread, and certainly here.

    Good luck.:)

You did great for a first timer.

The shape of this is more like a chocolate pot; definitely not for tea.

Your pix sent me scurrying to my kitchen to have another look at a creamer & sugar bowl I have that are also Haviland, thinking they were a match for your pot. Not, as it turns out, but you wouldn't notice unless you looked closely.

Marks on mine are the same orange Haviland & Co. arching over Limoges. The green mark on mine, just Haviland over France.

I inherited my pieces from my paternal grandmother, who may have had them from her mother. For time reference, my grandmother was born in the late 1800s.

Not looking to sell at this time.

    Found out it’s actually
Haviland Limoges Schleiger 271 Coffee Pot and Lid
H&Co, Blank 1, Pink and Blue Flowers, No Trim. Gosh this whole time I’ve been getting wrong. I need to unwrap it and get it out of my car cause I was gunna sell it. I’ll create a new thread if that’s okay or somehow correct this one

You're doing fine. I would advise against starting a new thread; it becomes confusing. But let's see what other say, since essentially you are marketing this.

OK, so this is the chocolate pot.

What was it about how they made hot chocolate that made the very high spout the best design?

I've always wondered the same. Cocoa dissolves, so any residue that sinks to the bottom could be stirred back into the liquid.
