No hallmark? It may be hard to see buried in the pattern.

That form goes right back to the 16th C and earlier. Based on Moghul shapes and decoration.

Yours looks, oh, late 18th maybe 19th? Any chance of a photo of the inside of the cup please?

Oh, sorry, hadn't spotted you were using the Phillips pics. Need photos of yours.

@Terry, no hallmarks, but it has a series of letters & numbers scratched along the foot rim similar to those scratch weight marks found on early-19th C. silver and earlier silver pieces.

@Bear, thank you and yes, those are the Phillips pics and link. I used theirs as an example because I don't have the one I purchased in-hand as of yet. It was one of those misidentified and/or unresearched internet auction buys. The form and design pattern are very similar to the Phillips example above, but mine doesn't have the flared mouth and foot rims. The only examples I found so far of these carafe & beaker combination are mine and the Phillips piece. From what I've gathered, it's possible these were made during the mid-British Raj (1858 - 1947) Period, but I'm not 100% sure if that info is correct.

So it's possible these can date earlier than the late-19th/early-20th C.?

Being picky, 1947 is very late Raj. ;)

Entirely possible to be earlier. I'll be really interested to see it once it shows up.

Sure, not a prob and thank you!

Speaking of India and silver, any ideas on origin (India?) and what these are called (Pomander?) ???

The center "stone" is glass and marked on base 'SILVER'.

    Thank you!

Pomander, yes. Hm. Could be Indian, Tibetan or at a push, perhaps Turkish. Pretty!
