    With the Celtic motif, would it be correct to assume this is a Sgian Dubh? I have no idea how old your son is Hollyblue, but this is impressive work at any age. You have guided him well.

    Most new and hobbyist don't mark their blades.There is no registry of knife makers marks. The American Bladesmith Society probably has a list of makers and their marks,but most knife makers do not belong to the group.
