I haven't been able to find any of this size, similar forms and glaze colors but not this big. It's 21" in diameter and 9" tall and weighs better than 13.5 pounds.
It has a mustard yellow glaze under a reddish brown over glaze. It has four 1/2" make-do repair staples at the bottom rim.
Can anyone tell if this is Pennsylvania, Shenandoah Valley or elsewhere? How old is it?
Apologies for the flash photos, daylight is scarce.

:hilarious: It looks like a Monopoly bill. But a fantastic way to make the size of the bowl obvious!

    Love the staples!

It is a bit dwarfed, I don't have any food or beverage cans here so I figured a bill would do.
I love make-do repairs, I don't find as many out west as I do back east.

There is a hairline crack where the staples are but the bowl still rings like school bell.

Love your bowl! The staples show that someone else probably loved it too.

As the Brits say, that's big enough to bath the baby!

Knee jerk reaction is that it is not Pennsylvania...or at least, not Pa Dutch. They tend to glaze the outsides. Although certainly not always.

Anund, I hope somebody can help with this. You are usually the one helping others.
