Is this mark Franklin W. Smith Silver Company?

    Thank you. :) That links says the pattern is from 1918 but the engraving is from 1903. :confused:

    My JCK Flatware Index also shows a 1918 introduction date, but Turner shows it as 'circa 1895'.

    I'm so glad you've got an alternative source that has an earlier date, Cheryl. :) That post was my last of the evening before heading up and the engraved date had gotten switched around in my head. But it straightened itself sometime over night because I woke up thinking how strange it was that 1918 pattern would have a 1903 engraving!

    Thank you Cheryl. :) That was a bit confusing.

    I don't know why I don't have any books on silver since I have always been drawn to it. Which books would you recommend?

    Recently, I found a big box of silver that I packed away back in 1999! I completely forgot about it. I'm sure I will be posting a few more as I clean them up.
