Featured It could be plated, it could be silver, but it's pretty

Good Evening Everyone,

I know it's been awhile since I posted. Admittedly I've found made a lot of purchases lately, but I don't want to become a broken record on the forum. I wanted to share this one, because I'm really excited to get it hopefully later this week (delivery speed is hard to judge nowadays).

So, here's some photos of a bowl I purchased this week. I didn't do any research on the marks on the bottom...perhaps I was just hoping to be surprised when I got it, or perhaps I was nervous I would figure out it wasn't silver. Either way, what got me most excited about this piece (plated or real) is the really cool work on the sides. Here's the photos I have, what do you think?? Dimension is approximately 9.5" x 6.75"

 

It's a lovely bowl Nate !!! ... Also I'd like to add that I for one have enjoyed each and every post that you have made, it's a joy to see all the wonderful silver pieces that you have found. It's NEVER boring Nate so PLEASE keep posting your lovely finds. .... Joy.

Thank you Any Jewelry, the curiosity to research got the best of me last night. Based on what I was reading, the Burmese silver bowls are known for a more pronounced/extended relief of the repousse and it definitely looks like that especially in the third photo.

Sorry for the delay everyone, this was a slow labor of love to polish the bowl. I've been working on it patiently waiting to show you. I was so excited to see the size of the bowl and the details that slowly emerged as I polished it. I hope you enjoy!~

Please, keep posting your finds! I love to see what you find and your hints on what to look for. You have inspired me (and I suspect many others) to look more closely at photos to try and discover a gem I must admit that my polishing has stepped up a level, no more quick wipes with a polish, I take some time to get the shine back

Thank you Roshan Ko, the only mark is the inscription on the bottom, but my understanding is this is very common for these.
