Featured Japanese puzzle lock box

    hi folks

    found this sweet smallish ( 4 1/4 by 3 inch) puzzle box

    i liked it for what i paid for it, but wondering if it has much age to it

    hinges look oldish

    found it 3 weeks ago but only just worked out how to get in

    nah, not really got in just like that (clicks fingers)

    key is in a secret compartment to the side, you just have to move all the panels about

    any thoughts appreciated

    That’s cool and looks well and cleverly constructed. Certainly looks to have some age. Nice character,I really like it..

    could be made for the foreign troops just after 1945. doesn't look older to me.

    The top is very Souvenir of Japan. It might be 30s export stuff, but it's fun regardless.
