My bottle guy brought me this today when he brought me the bottles and antique hub caps. It measures 4" by 6". The front is copper, the back is lead. It would have been mounted on a block of wood. This was probably given or sold to a car garage owner by a Westinghouse Battery salesman. The garage owner could have the newspaper put the name of the garage in the space in the block, as well as the price. Then the ad could be run in the paper, or made into a one sheet flyer.

Note that the mechanic on the print plate has a head made out of a Westinghouse car battery. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: I love this thing. It's nonephemeral ephemera.

This is a great piece...and it even has a nod to...the Hupmobile!

    Thanks all.
DS#2 will probably end up with it. He's got the smallest house with the most cool stuff.
