More Older Jewelry From Jewelry Lot Necklace Some Might Be Amber Need Help

    I have taken pictures of necklaces,a few look like amber,one necklace look like it has eyes lol,I'm trying to learn about amber.There's some metal older necklace.A few has rhinestone clasp that fit in a loop.@ are round ball necklase,the ball that look like carnival glass has some type of ring when you put it on.     You need a UV torch: cheap on Ebay.

    Bingo. I recently bought a cool little flashlight for probably $8 that is also a laser pointer and a blue light (UV).

    This one does look like amber, but a UV will tell you for sure.

    It looks like imitation amber to me. UV light is a good start.

    what do I look for under UV light,I think I got one out of one of the storages I bought,what about the salt water test,does that work with a necklace

    You're looking for a bluish green glow, very diffuse and spread through the piece. If you simply see a blue dot, not amber. Salt water test isn't conclusive, other substances float.
