Old closet in super good condition

Hi everyone,

I am trying to help a friend to sell a closet by identifying its age and origin better. It is in very good condition and I would place it in between 1860s and early 1900s, maybe made in the Netherlands or Germany.

The piece is locate in the Netherlands.

What do you think of my assessment? Also any ideas where would be the best place to sell such a piece?

João, I think your item would best be described as a "wardrobe." A closet is typically built in to the structure of a room. You might want to change your heading so your get the help you need.

It's quite possible that it is too late to change, but try clicking on Thread Tools drop-down (above the thread on the right side,) and see if Edit Title is there (or something to that effect.)

 

Unfortunately ignore thread is the only option showing. Thank you for the tip in any case, next time I will know!

 

My quick assessment based on what I can see, is that this is a modern Indonesian piece. More pics are necessary to confirm or deny.
