Possibly German ceramic angel

    Can anyone tell me anything about this angel? I believe it could be German, but may be wrong. It stands 8" tall and has 157 stamped on the rear. Any idea on age, maker etc appreciated. angel 3.jpg

    Look closely in this area. Sometimes Germany or Japan are stamped in and glazed over so you can hardly see the word.

    Thanks, I have double checked and I cant see anything other than the stamped number. Any idea on age?
