Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me with this $15 auction purchase. It isn't marked anywhere that I can see, but it acid tests for sterling.

I just think it's beautiful, and unusual. Dancing children? A picnic basket with wine bottles? I'm curious about where it might be from, and who the maker might be.

On "hollow handled" pieces like this, if it is marked, it's usually on one of the sides of the handle and often lightly impressed. Can be difficult to find. That engraved name is the owner's, nothing to do with the maker.

Look around the edge near the bristles of the brush. I've seen marks there before.
