I inherited these from my grandfather who bought them in Europe a hundred years ago. I know nothing about them except what I can read on the etchings themselves.
Titles: Medecin du Corps and Médecin de L'Ame.. Doctor of the body and Doctor of the soul. My grandfather was a doctor and a devote Catholic, so these etchings were important to him.

they were engraved by Paul Girardet and published by Goupil and Co.

do any of you know anything more?

    many thanks,

    James

Only a moderator can do that. It will be fine.
I will tag @Jivvy and @Debora to have a look at the artwork. Not everyone looks at Introductions.

Jivvy the research is my favorite

    I'm tagging out: @moreotherstuff

(I don't know values and you seem to have the big pieces of info. :) )

I just look things up online like so many others.

How big are they? It can make a difference.

They have the look of steel plate engravings, which does not bode well for value.

What does all the tiny writing say? The stuff at the bottom corners of the image, and the stuff along the bottom edge below the title?

Looks like the same artist did both? Does anyone know the artist's name? :)

Well both were engraved by the same artist. Paul Girardet. But could he have been copying another artists work?

The framed pieces are about 24”x18”. The small print below them says “PRINT PAR E.LEPOITEVIN”. “GRAVE PAR PAUL GIRARDET “

Imprime & Publie par GOUPIL & Cie. le 1er Avril 1861l
    “Paris London”

    Then at the very bottom.
“Berlin Verlag vun Goupil & Cie “
And “New York Published by M. Knoedler”

I'd say it is the same artist, but you will have to bear in mind this one is oil on canvas, not a print.
