I have a few more things to post, the flea market was slow today and I had stiff competition. I posted this $3 necklace on the jewelry board with questions, the colors make me happy.

It sure is cheerful. Make sure to post a pic of the clasp over there. It's often the best clue as to age and origin of the metalwork.

Lumii_20260412_101815101.jpg Other flea market finds. I really need to get there earlier. I found some cool things on dollar tables.

The blue item is an old brass rosary that needs to be refastened and needs a new crucifix.
The pearls were $3 a strand. If I don't sell them, they go into raffle baskets for the three charitable clubs I belong to.

They were only $2 each, the turquoise necklace is probably Asian, but has sterling findings. The French jet has older brass findings. The earrings were $20, Sajen sterling.

And length. Necklace lengths go in and out of fashion with hemlines.

I spend money to make money, an edge I have over most competition. Most people want everything for nothing. I'm happy to double my money, but tripling it ir more works, too. I picked up this rosary, sterling and possibly Chapel brand, for $30.

A guy is selling his wife's jewelry weekly. The sterling and prasiolite bracelet was $30.

I'd think that was before the era of ubiquitous Chinese imports.

Okay, a big find for me. I collect Barbies, especially vintage ones. My favorite Barbies are the vintage number 3 ponytail Barbies. They are very expensive, even when they are not in the best condition. I have to really like a vintage #3 to purchase her. I have been wanting a #3 brunette ponytail with "brown" eyeliner for years, never found one I liked at a reasonable price (less than $1,000.) I finally found my Holy Grail #3. The planets must have aligned.

Yes, that necklace length would most likely be either 1920s-1930s or 1960s-1970s.

We go to a flea mkt and a guy's table looks like a dumpster. I see an 80s thermos and ask for a price, he says 2 bucks. I buy it and he says if you see anything else let me know, I don't wanna take anything home...

I spot a 100 yr old wooden box about the size of a jewelry box. Lid isn't attached, and it looks beat up. I offer a dollar for it. He gets irate and says "I've had that for a WHILE!! Do you know what tnose are WORTH??!! I guess I shouldn't have taken 2 for the thermos! I need to get at least 10 for that box!"

I put it down and walked away. I could have come up to maybe 5, but the guy just turned me off at that point.

Thought the joolies might like to see this. I have been picking up jewelry at the thrift when I can at cheap prices and turning it quite well in the store lately. About the only thing that is selling for me right now. I don't pay too much attention to what I am buying, as it is all cheap. Just looking for interesting, vintage and/or precious metals. Anyway, realized that this is Eisenberg when I got it home. Bought for $4.00 and turned for $59.00 in one week.

Marko hit the Barbie sweeps! I only liked the dolls because I wanted to make the clothes and play with the accessories. (weird kid) I can appreciate why others might want them though.

Nice one! Finding Eisenberg (signed?) in the wild these days is a rarity. Finding it at all isn't easy, unless it's the modern version and even that's scarce.
