Welcome, Michael. I can't see your marks well enough in the photo, except to make out the Egyptian national mark for gold, the ibis, in the middle. You have the charts for the karatage marks. Are you not able to figure out which one yours is? The mark for the assay office may or may not be legible; they are often rather blobby.

Here is a table of date letters:

    So is it 1921-1922?

I have no idea. I can't see your marks in that kind of detail. Does your necklace have a Roman letter for the mark on the right? Or is it an Arabic letter? Have you worked out the karatage? This might help you recognize the numbers better than the line drawings you have. Most of the Egyptian gold I have seen has been marked 12, 18 or 21K, but have also seen 15 & 16.

Squinting at your marks, think I see 21K, ibis, & date letter of W, so yes, 1921-22. Wow!

On the right is a capital W. Clearly
On the left I think it is one of these sysmbols... 21CD727D-272B-4D40-8DCC-F08F3FDEFC50.jpeg

A belly dancer who was making good money or had a rich patron. 21K!

@Michael Maestas If you are planning on selling it, I would advise getting it professionally tested with something more than an acid test. Egyptian marks are sometimes more of an approximation & metal jewellery can be made of earlier pieces of different karatages melted down together. A listing should say both how it is marked & how it tests.

The top dancers are very wealthy. And also,it's seen as the best being older women.

Just realized that in the photo the necklace is masked. :joyful:

Michael, is there a story about how you came to acquire this that you are willing to share?

For anyone who might wonder about this. Since Arabic is written right to left, wouldn't Michael's mark of a 2 & a 1 really be 12, not 21? No. Numerals are written left to right.

My girlfriend bought some jewelry from a nice older lady who had a lot of jewelry to get rid of. She drove it over gave her 30 pieces for $40! And that thing was just thrown in there. !!!! Unreal
