    Hello,

I need your help- please- to find the origin for this bracelet.. I know I've seen one before (or something similar), but I don't remember where .. It tests as sterling, but it doesn't have any marks. Thank you so much ! :):)

You might find marks if you polish it.
Sorry, I can't help with what it is.

    Same here.:banghead::inpain:
It is gorgeous, very nice quality. Although spike bangles can be found in many parts of the 'Old World', most are from India and Pakistan.

I'll have to do some digging. The spike bracelets I know from that region are more like these two, both found on Ethnic Jewels.

I did see some from Rajasthan, but the cones did not have the “Wrapped” appearance.

Yes, that twisted wire decoration is a clue. But to where.... I hope either Xristina or I remember. I will do some digging later.

That shape looks like a god thing for a woman to wear when out by herself at night ;)

Yay! I knew I should know! (does that make sense?) Silly brain should get a kick in the ...
And that is probably where Xristina remembered it from.
Ok, Xristina, time to start polishing and check for marks.:playful: And please show them.:)

Thank you, that's it ! Instead of looking here, I've looked everywhere else.. not very smart of me, isn't it ?

I have cleaned my bracelet and indeed it has a tiny mark, but it doesn't look like yours, mine has a diamond shape.. unfortunately, I can't see what it is, even with a magnifier glass..

    Thank you, everyone ! :)

Notice that my bracelet had marks on both halves, actually 2 different marks on each side. It looks like yours might have a tiny remnant of a mark on the lower edge, beneath the diamond mark you show here. Are there no marks on the other side of the hinge?

I find it ironic and amusing that I would be able to help identify something that YOU identified for me just 6 months ago!
Actually, I'm amazed to be able to offer help (even if second-hand) on this site. I love the willingness of knowledgeable people to share quality information here!

I've looped that and it looks like a random scratch.. and I couldn't find any other markings... :(

Unless it is silver plate, you should be able to polish that a little more. The mark might show just a little better.

That is the maker's mark. I don't know of any data bases on Tunisian maker's marks, so I never try to find out who it is by. It doesn't really change the value, but it does give an indication that it is likely to be precious metal, so silver.

There are probably tiny hallmarks too, check everything, including the inside of the hinge, North African assayers love marking hinges.
