Just to share, because I was excited :p...
I have just 10 minutes ago bought myself another opaline glass tea box.

93% sure that this one is Dutch too.
    (Still have to receive it)

From the pictures I see a dutch sword.
    Can't detect any makers hallmark.

The more I see of these pieces, the more I love them. Great design of glass and silver pieces. :)
Makes me want to start a new collection.... LOL.

    UpdatE:

    Back to the bottle.
I'm affraid it is a Dutch sword.

    Which would make this complicated.

The top of the cap is dutch.
The silver piece under it is either plated or .800 silver.

Meaning that the 2 pieces of this cap don't belong to eachother.

But which one (or none) would belong to the bottle?

    :p

Looking at the jagged edged bottom rim, my guess is neither. It looks like a double marriage. But a pretty one.

    I'm affraid too.

But I'd like to sell it.
Don't really know what to put in the description.

    Uranium Opaline Glass (France/Bohemian)

Silver-cap compiled : Upper piece Dutch, marked with old Dutch sword.
Lower piece either Belgian .800 silver, or silverplated.

Plus, should I stick to the ca. 1830-1850?

I can only help with the silver, I'd call it a composite piece of possibly different silver grades, the cap marked with old Dutch sword mark.

Do you have a silver test kit? You could test the grade of the rim. But never put the testing liquid directly on the silver.
Here is a thread on jewellery testing, it also mentions and shows silver and gold test kits:

No I haven't. Because I don't know much about jewelry.
And mainly but glass for now.

    But it's a nice link.
Maybe I should expand my knowledge, and learn on jewlry etc. ;)

Judging from the many people we have to disappoint on the jewellery forum, jewellery is a very tricky subject.;)
But I was thinking of the silver mounts on the glass you buy. Usually marked, but then there is a case like this one, where testing of the rim would give clarity.

Yes it would. And if I come across this more often I think it would be a good investment.

    That IS pretty.
Sometimes it breaks your heart to sell something, but there is no sensible reason not to. The old head-heart thing. If I'd listen to my heart everytime, there would be no room to move here, and no item would get the attention it deserves.

I like the instructions on the blue cardboard box.:)
