Looks like a hand colored engraving to me.

As I was just about to say. :)

The initials are likely to have been those of an owner, not the artist. It kind of looks like an engraving that has been colored.

Addition: Just because it's an engraving does not mean that it's not old or not high quality.

Contemporary consensus is that the sitter was not Beatrice & the painter was not Reni. You see school of Reni, circle of Reni, Elisabetta Sirani, circle of Elisabetta Sirani, Bolognese school... But in Shelley's day she was believed to be Cenci by 'Guido'.

Hi, it's 9 by 6.5 inches, and its a drawing not a colored engraving as this guys are saying

Yes to you but to me who happens to hold it open say it's a drawing

When we see an image created by thousands of tiny black parallel lines, we believe we are looking at a technique used in engraving, not in drawing. When it is not in black & white, we conclude it has been colored. We are analysing the evidence you have provided & telling you what we think, as requested. Perhaps you know an artist who can draw these fine, exact lines by hand. I do not know of one.

The colorist missed her left pupil:

As in so many reproductions, she is looking at the viewer instead of down.

THOSE ARE EXTREMELY PRECISE lines for ANY ARTIST to be trying to do by HAND... my vote also goes with Engraving.......and it IS VERY NICE!!!
