Hello Everyone! I am looking for information on a cameo pin/pendant I recently purchased and a necklace. I’m trying to hunt down the makers for them. The cameo has the mark 388 NA and the necklace 1081 NA. They are both silver. I have looked online for Makers Marks and have only found makers thru the year 1971. These are newer pieces I imagine as the numbers are higher.
Can anyone out there give me a clue?? 251113E7-BFAC-4397-82DB-00EBAC1A2739.jpeg 251113E7-BFAC-4397-82DB-00EBAC1A2739.jpeg 1903446E-49B0-4C54-BC77-5C7F90777431.jpeg

Sorry I can’t read it, but going by what OP sees, it’s from Naples.
I don’t know how high up these numbers have been documented.

I think 1968 to present looks like a good range based on the design of the cameo. @crazy4gems is this a shell cameo or resin? If you are not sure can you show a full shot of the back? Is the back flat or curved?

The cameo looks like shell to me, but photos of back & edge couldn't hurt. The jeweller who set it may not be the factory that cut it. Scognamiglio & Colamonici are a couple of the big makers, but Naples is the home of the shell cameo.

The necklace pendant appears to be an intaglio? I know I'm not the only one who's curious to see what it is. :)

That's what I was seeing, maybe Cupid & Psyche, but I don't trust my powers of interpreting pictures.

definitely better pics of the marks needed. both numbers are too high for Napoli.

Frankly, I can't make out the marks from the images either, but there would be no issue with the numbers given by the OP being from Naples. I took a quick look online yesterday without success - the best I can give you is 'no earlier than' dating provided by numbers issued to other makers found in Trev's ongoing Italian manufacturers thread: https://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=27003

This maker was assigned '381 NA' on Jan. 26, 1981, so '388 NA' would have been assigned not too much after that, and so should date no earlier than 1981:

This maker was assigned '1067 NA' on July 14, 2003, so '1081 NA' would have been assigned not too much after that, and so should date no earlier than 2003:

thank you. is it an Italian that started this collection of marks ? just asking because the two you show are normal shops or jewelers, but not silversmiths;negozio, not argentiere.

The two that I posted here were chosen because their registration numbers were very close to the OP's, without being later, offered only as an aid in dating hers - the first a "Manufacturer of jewellery.", the second "Workers in precious metals."

The page linked in my first post on this thread, as well as below here, is titled, "Italian Silverware and Jewellery Manufacturers, Identified by Registration Numbers" (dating 1934-present) - just that 1st page of the 353 shows various manufacturers described as, "Gold and silver chainmakers, and other jewellery", and as producing a "large range of Jewellery, Holloware, and Flatware", "Jewellery, Giftware, etc.", "Religious Art, Giftware, etc.", and so on...

Not sure why Trev's nationality is of any importance at all, but he is British and the administrator of the forums - the majority of those 353 pages of marks, dating back over 18 years, include citation from official records, as well as information from forum posts, with quite a bit of that coming from a knowledgeable Italian member (if you believe that gives more credence).
