Inuit Snow Goose Carved Soapstone Figure

    Identified by Komo as the work of Lazaroosee Akpaliapik , born 1921. Mark London suggested early '70s, which sounds good to me, and made a good suggestion for a doable repair.

    The figure stands about 4 3/4" high, and has some serious damage. The beak has broken off entirely, there is a chip to one foot, and another to the tip of one wing.
