Featured SO, BACK TO THAT RESTAURANT.....JUST A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS...

SO, I went online and found the mfgr, but cannot find one like this, UNLESS the owner made the cart, custom for himself, as it's obviously a push wagon..in pristine condition, either a peanut roaster or hot dog roaster, 1873!!!








Someone back in "the day" did some very nice 'bead' work on some small pillows, second one below has a custom made quilt behind it!


I wasn't able to get any info on if the hanging headdress related to the painting next to it.....or the other images near it.....


Had DH put his hand in the pic for size.....small but metal container with a spigot on the left end and a lever on the right end with some sort of round something too...
container is made of copper, the lid lifts.....the end 'works' are brass.....anybody have any idea what it is, besides very cool??????????



Last item is just I think maybe part of a carving set or serving set.....but the handle is what's weird....doesn't it look like a slightly decaying 'gazelle' horn?????

The item with DH's hand is an office sterilizer. The round thing is the switch/temperature control; it boils only. It used to have a basket that raised up out of the water when the lid was opened by that RH handle. I've got one similar, but Nickel-plated...somewhere.

Was looking on line. So if it is a peanut roaster. Is it then missing the square glass box?

 

Boy, would I like to peek under that brass bell, to see the mechanical works. I think it probably was rung remotely...by a handle or chain arrangement elsewhere on the roaster. What a treasure!

I note the fuel reservoir filler cap has what looks like a Schrader valve, to allow pressurizing the tank...the fuel was either Kerosene or white gas...and that part seems to have been added subsequent to manufacture; there is weld-blemish around the tank mounting straps. It may have been coal, or even wood-fired originally.

 

With the medallion it has to be a factory made cart, right?
I like the double handles & I love that bell!

 

I think that is on the very top of the cooker, not on the cart. You can see it in the 2nd pic, just above the "13".

I think the cart is factory-made, but that's only an opinion.

The whole place was FULL of local history and memorabilia in showcases and all over the walls in ALL the rooms!!

We didn't see any square glass box....there were two abutting 'tin'? boxes sitting in the front of the cart......visible if you look at the FIRST profile view.....
