Featured Mystery Item-Chinese ?

I'm new to this forum as of yesterday. Is it okay here to link to auction sites or Craigslist ads? Or to talk about prices and values?

If so, I will link to my antique opium paraphernalia collection of 25 years, all of it found in the U.S, (although I saw a lot of it [cheap!] when I lived in Thailand from 1985-1998, but that was before I knew what all the stuff was).

In Vientiane, Laos (June 1989, when Laos opened up somewhat to tourism) I was offered pipes like the ones above with the colored stones, but I thought they were rather gaudy, not knowing at the time that they were the real thing, and old. (And in fact, the artists who created opium smoking items did take artistic liberties with the design elements that they would not have taken with older, more established Chinese arts. Or so I have read.)
