Not a clue, but I liked them.

I bought these two metal things at a fleamarket in France. Not a clue what they could be...anyone know anything about what they could be??

      Hi there Sonya. They are cast iron supports for an old Dutch colonial oil lamp, found commonly in Indonesia and other countries where the Dutch colonised. These lamps are very collectible in Australia, and I recently bought another 2 at auction at good prices.
      The lamps are often electrified now and look gorgeous in an appropriate house. The supports allow the lamp to be raised and lowered (on the chain links that you can see at each end) and is counterweighted with the use of the central heavy weight. You can see how the supports work on this example which is locally available in Sydney:
