I grew up annoyed with my parents for making me spend my Saturday mornings at flea markets, estate sales, and antiques dealers’ stores. This was pre-iPad era so I basically sat at the front while they shopped. Now as an adult I’ve grown to love and appreciate antiques. My parents owned an antebellum home for 15 years and were naturally drawn to furniture and other items aligned with that time period. I am more intrigued by Edwardian style pieces but I love all antiques. I have followed in my parents’ footsteps and now spend a lot of time on the hunt for beautiful antiques.
