Featured Vintage rugby ball look ice bucket

Hi all,no great value just a fun novelty item. Iam guessing 60’s or 70’s? I like the realistic vintage leather look. The overall detail is actually very good. Was considering that it was a real vintage ball that someone made into ice bucketCouldn’t find other similar ones on line? Maybe someone else can? (Football/rugby ball ice bucket) Stands about 30cm tall. Thank you

 

Is the interiors molded plastic? Then, I think you're right re age. Couldn't find a similar with Google Lens but lots of other decorative items with balls in the same shape. But are you sure it's a rugby ball and not an American football?

Thanks Debora. Appreciate the reply and you making the effort to search for it. Yes,Iam pretty sure it’s a rugby ball. It reminds me somewhat of the original ‘Springbok’ rugby balls we used to get here.

 

Of course, it makes more sense that it's a rugby ball. And so many similar items to be found around.

Sometimes stuff like this has far more value than bonafide antiques that are agreed upon by experts to be desirable. I can be excited the find a good quality genuine antique and then sell ten newer or vintage items first for more money.
