Hall mark on gold?

    Hi, Please can anyone shed some light on a mark stamped on the inside bridge of a pair of antique gold?rimmed spectacles. The mark would NOT show up on a photo. The stamp consists of a tiny triangle with the capital letter R inside, next a small cash & then a square.

    Rine, could you post a photo of the spectacles, and of the part where the mark is?
