Featured Small side table

    I recovered this small side table from a clearance this morning.

    It's heavily varnished and has paint droppings on it, and appears to have been abused in its later years.

    I think it's oak, would those legs be bobbin turned ?

    I swear that is a cat, staring from the surface design:D


    Last pic there is a split at the top of the leg, I think it will repair with wood glue and clamps, then I might strip the varnish away. 20250228_145645.jpg

    Top and stretchers are oak. Not sure about the legs. Yes, bobbin turned.

    The legs and the carving on the stretchers look very similar to a round top table I have. Very nice!
