Just joined

I just joined antiquers for help with some of the many things I inherited from my parents. I have been able to document much of my mother's china collection, but some items have me stumped. My father had a cut-glass collection, and I am uncertain how to learn about that. I am an art historian, which helps when I find any Renaissance iconography, but none of their vintage and antique items are that old.

My first question is basic: HOW do I post Qs in Forums? How do I attach pictures? (I am technologically NOT intuitive.)

Another Q: Do I gratuitously share pictures & info about some of the things I have learned (for example, a very common design on a 1940s cup whose subject matter none of the ebay sellers recognize--and which does go back to Renaissance iconography). Or just reply when someone asks?

We are info sponges. You never know what will be useful sometimes, so strike the word "gratuitously" & share, share, share. When you post something you want help with, we really appreciate your telling us everything you already know up front, so we don't spend time researching just to come up with the same stuff. And anything, anything at all, that you can add about another member's item is also welcome.
