Green man/north wind carved chair

    Not 100% on dating for this piece it’s been in my family for 30 years and was bought at an estate sale but was sadly painted over. Have been told it’s circa late 1800s to early 1900s IMG_0217.jpeg by numerous people. Not sure what it’s worth but it’s been sitting in my garage for 15 years and I’m looking to get rid of it to somebody that will actually love it. Located in North Carolina.

    It could very well be, but I'll wait for our furniture experts.
    The slender shape looks inspired by a Renaissance "sgabello", only it has four separate legs, whereas a sgabello has boards front and back for support.

    Agree with the dating. Someone would want this even with the paint.
