Hi. I'm not entirely social and so I apologize for that. I started drinking tea and found that I actually really love the earthy aroma and then my aunt, who collects teacups, gave me one. Now I'm obsessed with figuring out what I have. So here I am. Looking for the help I couldn't find via any Google search.

Hi,@MommaJ...your image was WAAY too large to post here, so it's resized down now! The largest size you can upload to the forum here is just under 1MB!! Can you also take a smaller image of what you see as a date on the bottom please. Others should be along at some point to hopefully help you!!

    Welcome, @MommaJ.

Your cup looks like one currently being offered on etsy, identified as being made by Aynsley china. It is described as their "corset" shape. Theirs is red, but yours may be a color Aynsley calls rust. (Sometimes colors appear different on our computer screens, though.)

Sorry, just saw your second post where you do note it is Aynsley.

Welcome Momma J! Yes, it is a corset shape, (think narrow waist such as the bottom half of the cup is) and I would think 1930s/40s. I have a lot of Aynsley because Aynsley shipped a lot to Canada where I live. They shipped a lot of tea wares. Most of their patterns didn't have names, but numbers only.
