New here and time to liquidate..

Ive got a house full of stuff that needs to go so I can prepare for the final leg of my life's journey.

Is this the right place to get values and recommendations where to sell?

    Thanks!

Welcome, @Mikek. You'll find lots of helpful and knowledgeable people here. We don't do valuations per se because there are so many variables (e.g. location, condition) but we can often help with directional value by identifying comparables on the internet, for instance.

    greetings.....

We'll tell you everyting we know about your items , but this is not a one stop shop for exact fair market values and where to get them.

We can point you in the proper direction .... for values and selling strategies ,,,,
but... u will need to provide us with crisp clear photos , and sizes and what you already know about your items.
Help us , to help you !!

Some expert members may also wish to offer up ballpark values where appropriate .

We can certainly take a look, but valuations are impossible via computer, no matter what anyone says. Where to sell can also depend on your location, and we're unlikely to have personal experience in that location. It's an international forum.

Thanks, but how about what percentage of online retail prices should I consider fair. Ive read 20-40% for fine china.

As size medium, or save as medium. I forget which. Love the Mid-mod dining set, btw. My mom gave me the "what do you want that for" when I brought home mid-century decorating books 30 years ago. (library book sale) I wish I'd kept them now.

As for fine china, I've had no luck selling it at any price. Some patterns, like the one they call "drop rose" do well, but it's a ton of work for most often no reward unless you get lucky.

For fine china, you might want to check Completed listings on eBay. That will give you an idea of what's on offer and where collector interest lies.
