Any idea how much this is worth?

I received this from a family member; I'm not sure if it is worth anything or not. There are no labels, stamps, or any markings to determine the manufacturer, etc. I assume it is probably from around 1930 or 1940.

I also have this old dry sink as well.

Circa 1930 is about right. Value is very dependent on where and how selling. Values are not high, with such furniture currently being out of fashion. In my Midwest neck of the woods, this would be under $300 (at best) for the two pieces at retail.... Considerably less at auction and at most other selling venues. You might do better in or near a large city. Values in Outer-Podunkville would also be less.

To get an idea of just how little some of this furniture can sell for, you might want to peruse this thread:

Your "dry sink" is a late Victorian era walnut server. Suppose it might also be a considered a washstand if smaller sized. Dates to circa 1890. Marble top looks over-sized and not original. Here would be under $250 at retail, with all the above given caveats.

In looking at this last piece, I am wondering if the top and bottom are not original to each other (besides the marble). A marriage in the antiques trade. Typically, a server or a washstand would have some combination of drawers and cupboards with doors. This looks like a small dresser on the base. Suppose it could be original but it is an odd combination.

Agree. Doesn't make sense to the eye.

It may not match, but it is nice looking in person, though. I never picked up on the difference, now I can't unsee it.

My grandfather was in the antiques business and had a lot of odd things. This was from his collection that he put in the house after getting out. He may have done a mix and match at some point. He wasn't very good with antiques or business, though. It was more of a hobby for him; he lost a lot of money on it.

We do have some old pieces that were passed down from my grandmother's grandmother (1860ish) that we aren't parting with. One of my kids will be stuck with them.
