Featured What sort of print and likely age

    Charity shop buy. Nice simple wooden frame. 12x13 inches. The printing technique colours seems to be lines, some cross hatched rather than dots so I don’t know whether that’s right for 1881 (which someone has written on the back) or what that printing technique is called. Any information please? Thanks.

    Just found out it’s a Kate Greenaway image. Title:Under Rose Arches. 1885. They have one in the Royal Academy listed as a chromolithograph but I don’t know if mine is that and not a page taken from a later book.

    that mat s pretty tight..... might be info underneath it...... but I'm not suggesting you look..:nailbiting::nailbiting:

    Will probably have to open it up to remount it, the mount edge is showing a bit of acid leach. It looks as if it originally came with a poem underneath the illustration but there’s not enough room there on mine.
