It stands about 11cm tall, the footing is 6cm across. It weighs about 0,6kg. An image search came back with some odd possibilities like a Buddhist casket? (So I read about that) Not sure if that can be correct? It has some odd hardened power stuff in it.. It’s not residual ashes or something?(just wondering:)) Anyway thanks for any comments

I think you saw an ebay ad for a supposed Gandhara casket? Not very convincing, it looks too crude for a Gandhara box. I checked out the seller's other listings, and saw quite a few recent items sold as antique and even ancient.

For comparison, these are two Gandhara reliquary boxes sold by Sotheby's:

    Sand?

Thanks for the reply AJ. I did see that listing but below was what I was looking at and referring to. Not completely similar but also crude looking.

Probably not ashes, but Iam really not sure it’s sand either (has some odd white little bits)

    Yes, clearly related.
The site can be off when it comes to accuracy (keris attribution:facepalm:) I guess that is due to the input of the former owners of the items. In general it is an informative site, but I wonder where they got their information about the stone pot from.

The relics kept in Gandhara religious boxes are not from deceased human beings, but small religious items. So nothing to worry about.:)
