Featured toilet sign

    ;)

    first thought to fit the loo door, but after arrival second thoughts. bronze, 30 cm * 40 cm plus wooden frame.
    does anyone have an idea who that guy is ? possibly an old Greek philosopher or similar ?

    No idea who the seated dude is, though.

    There are numerous "seated philosopher" statues that have the guy sitting on a cube base. So maybe modeled after one of those (but not this one).

    Friedrich Christian Wolber. also known as Fritz Wolber. not widely known anymore, partially due to the destruction of a great part of his works during the war. from Pforzheim.
    very good and very heavy bronze.

    Wolber seems to have made a specialty of grave monuments. Plaque could be based on one of those. Figure could be simply allegorical, e.g., Old Age.
