    Hi folks

something i picked up along side the japanese box.

was well impressed when i found it, but image search seems to suggest new

i guess they could have been made forever, so still some hope

has that lovely old smell as well, so who knows

    any thoughts appreciated

My knowledge is well lacking but my initial thought/feeling is ‘relatively new’ But I still like it. Has the copper been ‘painted’ with something?

yeah i'm not 100% sure mate, but seems quite natural to me

got a touch of the greenies inside, but don't know if that suggests real age

have just learned that 'antique' smell, you can buy in spray cans from china, so don't even know if i can rely on that sense anymore :playful::playful:;):smug:

Why not give it a try?:) My brother had some and thought it quiet nice. Not me though, I'm lactose intolerant.

quite nice sounds a bit shifty to me (like when someone pretends to like something because they want too but....) so might pass ;);):woot:

nicest thing i have EVER tasted is stone cold (handmade)guanabana punch from a jamaican stall at glastonbury UNBELIEABLE :singing::singing::singing::singing::singing::singing::singing::singing::singing:

My brother likes fatty dairy things, so I'm sure he did like it. Not my cup of tea though.:D

Is there any vodka in that coke?

Don't polish it whatever you do. I polished a copper service bell once because it looked a bit manky. It looked awful afterwards. I tried to fake it by putting it in the oven etc and it just didn't work.

It does have that new look where they age stuff then coat it with an impervious chemical to keep it that way. I'm not disagreeing with AJ though :blackeye:

I didn't say anything about the age.;)
But it isn't very old, probably late 20th-early 21st.
